Milestone Delivery of Liebherr

At the end of the last week in year 2010, Liebherr celebrated its delivery of its 300th LTM 1500-8.1, It is the most successful telescopic crane of its class, anywhere in the world for the whole Liebherr company.

The crane was purchased by a Brazilian group, established in 1973 with a workforce of some 4,000 employees. It is engaged in engineering, including technical planning and construction, as well as crane operation and heavy haulage.

Besides, the Brazilian group operates some 200 mobile and crawler cranes, as well as 700 transport units.

According to Washington, CFO of this group, it is Liebherr’s easy and rapid supply of spare parts and reliable after-sales service influenced the decision to purchase from Liebherr.

The crane model LTM 1500-8.1 has a high lifting capacity and "extraordinary mobility" on the road and on construction project sites.

With a 12-tonne axle load and a total weight of 96 tonnes, this crane can travel at up to 80 km per hour on the road.
