1.2010 Import Statistical Analysis of China's Bulldozers

Since China began to import bulldozer in 2000, the volume increased from the 200 units of that year to more than 800 units of 2003; then the volume has been stable at between 400-800 units. It broke 800 units again in 2008, reached the maximum recorded of 855 units. In 2009, the volume has decreased to less than 500 units. China's import volume of bulldozer from January to August of 2010 reached 386 units, increased by 20% comparing with the same period of 2009. By the end of 2010, it reached 500 units of China's import bulldozers.

Although China's import volume of bulldozer from January to August increased by 20% comparing with the same period of 2009, but the import revenue decreased by 15% comparing with the same period of 2009. From the overall review, since 2008, China’s import revenue and quantity of bulldozer basically remained stable, and the total import revenue of bulldozer for 2010 is expected to remain at 90 million U.S dollars.

There are five countries fro China's bulldozer import, include the United States, Japan, France, Brazil and Sweden. Japan accounted for 80% of the total bulldozers imported by China, and the United States accounted for the remaining 20%. The other countries import volume accounted for very small percentage.

2. 2010 Export Statistical Analysis of China's Bulldozers

Exports have always been the main driver of the development of China's bulldozer industry. China's exports volume of bulldozers in 2008 has reached a record of 5460 units, accounting for more than 50% of the total sales volume of China's bulldozer. After financial crisis, China's bulldozer export market continued to slump since 2009. From January to August, China has exported more than 1500 units of bulldozer, increased by 44% comparing with the same period of 2009, and decreased by 35% comparing with the same period of 2008. From current condition, the international market is still difficult for China's bulldozer exports.

From the view of export revenue, China's total export revenue of bulldozer from January to August reached 180 million U.S dollars, increased by 20% comparing with the 150 million U.S dollars of last year, but still decreased by 35% comparing with the 270 million U.S dollars of 2008. It will take time for the recovery of China’s export markets.

From the view of exporting countries and regions, China's bulldozer main export markets include: Russia and the former independent Siamese countries, Southeast countries and Arab region and central and south American countries. According to statistics, there are 67 major countries for China's bulldozer export, which mainly include: Russia, accounting for about 20%; Indonesia, accounting for 8%; Kazakhstan, accounting for 7%; Algeria and Brazil, accounting for about 4% respectively; In addition, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, India and Mongolia are also the major export countries for China's bulldozer.
