1. 2010 Import and Export Statistical Analysis of China’s Rollers
China’s total import volume of roller from January to August of 2010 was 430 units, increased by about 50% comparing with the same period of year 2008. In recent years, China’s import volume of roller is relatively stable at about 500 units every year. The year with largest volume was 2003; the total volume of imported roller reached about 900 units. China’s import volume of roller in 2010 is about 600 units.

In recent years, China’s import volume of roller is stable, and the import revenue is also stable. China’s total import revenue of roller from January to August in 2010 was about 12 million US dollars, slightly increased by 2% comparing with year 2008, and decreased 28% comparing with year 2007. In the condition of year –on-year growth of import volume, the import revenue of roller is declining year by year.

There are eight major import countries for China’s roller, and there are four most important countries. The first one is Germany. The import volume of from Germany accounted for over 50% of the total import volume of China, followed by the United States, Japan and Sweden, accounting for all of about 10% to 15%. In addition, Poland, France, Brazil, Czech also export roller to China, but the number is not big.

2. 2010 Export Statistical Analysis of China’s Rollers

China’s total export volume of various types of rollers from Jan to Aug in 2010 was more than 6600 units, which is the year with largest volume in recent years. Compared with the same period of 2009, the volume has increased by 90%, increased by 30% comparing with year 2008, and increased by 85% comparing with year 2007. Since 2005, China export volume of various types of rollers exceeded 1000units, and the volume of exported roller in 2007 for China exceeded 5000 units, in 2007, the volume even reached 7000 units. According to the current development trend in recent years, the annual export of various types of rollers is expected to reach about 9000 units.

Compared with the same period of 2007, 2008 and 2009, the export volume of various roller from Jan to Aug in 2010 for China is the most, and China’s total export revenue of roller from Jan to Aug is about 170 million US dollars, increased by 35% comparing with the same period of 2009, flat with 2008, and increased by 50% comparing with year 2007.

There are 121 major countries for China to export rollers. The main export areas include the former CIS countries, Central Asia and Africa and Latin America. Major countries include Russia, accounting for about 11%, Mongolia accounting for 7%, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Iran, Myanmar, and Venezuela, Algeria, etc, accounting for about 6%.
