Cummins prepare for EU stage IV

Cummins, the world best engine producer, already made full preparation to meet The European emission standards. Most Cummins new engine will produce significant fuel savings of up to 8% compared to Stage IIIB models. These engines are the most productive range that Cummins had ever produced for construction equipment.


Stage IV emission standards for nonroad engines were adopted by the European Parliament on 21 April 2004 and will enter into force in 2014.


Cummins plans to show a line-up of 56 kW to 503 kW EU Stage IV Final-compliant engines at Intermat 16-21 April,2012. new technology including SCR aftertreatment, together with a next generation Cummins Compact Catalyst (CCC) technology has been added to reduce the emissions.


During Intermat exhibition Cummins will show its renewed heavy-duty model Cummins QSX15 producing 503 kW which uses EGR and a PM filter combined with SCR after treatment to meet the strict 2014 regulations.
