Modular Jack-up Barge is About to Deliver Client

At the end of September 2023, we successfully conducted testing with the amphibious jack-up barge in the sea area of the Zhejiang Somen shipyard, using the spud leg attachments.

Sinoway SWSC150J modular jack-up barge is a type of multi-purpose mobile amphibious jack up platform that consists of a pair of tracked pontoon (buoyant hull) fitted with a number of movable legs, capable of raising its pontoons over the surface of the sea. This jack up platform use a 325hp Cummins engine as a power propulsion system to drive crawler pontoon and jacking activities, and fitted with long support legs that can be raised or lowered. At the end of each leg are fitted with a footing which can be suit a variety of seabed terrains and assure the stability of platform when it is in operation. When it travels in the water to location, all legs of jack-up barge can be put down cross to guarantee the travelling safety. Upon arrival at the work location, the legs are jacked down onto the seafloor. Then the jacking system is used to elevate the entire barge above the water to a predetermined height so that wave, tidal and current loading acts only on the relatively slender legs and not on the barge hull.

The jacking systems of SWSC150J use block stopper type or pin-in-hole type which can be operate both by remote controller and by manual on operation console. Each lifting module is moved by hydraulic cylinders. Blocks ensure position keeping.

Considering the convenient transportation, our jack-up barge use modular design which makes them put into ocean containers easily and transport to the site where they are assembled to create the platform. The legs and other equipment are then fitted and the Jack-Up deployed.

Sinoway modular jack-up is commonly used in various applications, such as construction, maintenance, geotechnical drilling, coring and exploration in coastal regions, swamplands and marshy terrains, where conventional vessels or land-based equipment may not be reachable.
