Ground Improvement Solutions

Ground improvement is the application of various techniques to enhance the engineering properties of weak or unsuitable soil at a site. The primary goal is to treat the ground so that it can safely support structures, embankments, or pavements without excessive settlement, bearing capacity failure, or liquefaction resist changes due to environmental factors like weather, seismic activity, or human impact.

To meet the demand for a heavier and more productive ground improvement equipment, SINOWAY has unveiled the solutions based on the technology of High Energy Impact Compaction & Rapid Impact Compaction. i.e. Impact roller and rapid impact compactor.

High Energy Impact Compaction (HEIC)

HEIC is a compaction technique that transmits rapid, high-energy impact in order to strengthen base materials and lay firm foundations for development. It can be far more efficient and productive than conventional compaction methods – around a quarter of the cost, and 50% quicker than traditional methods.

Sinoway can offer 3-sided and 5-sided impact rollers with energy power from 20 Kj to 35 Kj.

Rapid Impact Compaction (RIC)

RIC is a technique allied to dynamic compaction that can uses a hydraulic hammer to repeatedly strike an impact plate, densifying up to 8 m of soil without excavation.

RIC have been successfully used to consolidate gravel, sands and some silts as well as industrial mining and waste fills. The ability to dump and compact sand or stone to significant depths simplifies remediation practices and is less expensive than other excavation and replacement techniques.

Sinoway rapid impact compactors offer dropweights from 3 tons up to 16 tons. Depending on prevailing ground conditions, these compactors are capable of significant ground consolidation to depths from 1.5 m to 8 m. It is suitable for mounting to hydraulic excavators with operating weights between 20 and 95 tons and can be mobilized in minutes after arriving on site.

In the arena of ground improvement and soil stabilization, the utilization of impact rollers and rapid impact compactors has proven to be a game-changer.
