Sinoway Amphibious Jack Up Serves in Geotechnical Investigations project of Indonesia

Sinoway SWSC150J amphibious jack up is working on a geological exploration in the Java Islands, Indonesia. "It is an amazing machine with strong mobility, stability and versatility. It greatly solves our problem of geological exploration in tidal zones. We are satisfied with it very much". Mr.Eko Putra, the owner of the project said. "And we will work together further with Sinoway and order one more this amphibious jack up for another incoming project." He continued to say.

An amphibious jack-up is a specialized mobile platform designed for operations both on water and on land. Unlike traditional jack-up platforms that are primarily used offshore, amphibious jack-ups are equipped with features that allow them to navigate and operate in shallow waters, marshlands, and other difficult terrains. This dual capability makes them invaluable for projects where conventional equipment would struggle to perform.

Unlike traditional jack-ups, Sinoway amphibious jack ups are equipped with tracks, enabling them to move across different terrains. This mobility is crucial for transitioning from water to land operations seamlessly.

The deck houses various equipment, including cranes, winches, and accommodation facilities, tailored to the specific requirements of the project. The superstructure is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, ensuring operational safety and durability.

Amphibious jack-ups are powered by robust engines that drive both the propulsion system for navigation and the hydraulic systems for jacking operations. The platform is supported by four legs, each ending in a spud foot, which anchors the rig to the seabed or ground. These legs can be jacked up or down, allowing the platform to lift itself above the water or ground level.

Sinoway amphibious jack-ups have a wide range of applications across different sectors, such as oil and gas exploration, marine construction and disaster response and recovery.
